Protecting your money from fraud is our priority
Introducing a more secure way to log into online banking
We’re launching an enhanced identity verification process when you log into Personal Online Banking and Business Online Banking. This additional level of security takes just minutes to set up and allows us to quickly verify your identity. It activates automatically upon subsequent logins, ensuring that you, and only you, can access your accounts.

Any device you use can be set up as a trusted device — a mobile phone, desktop or tablet. Once set up, you'll be able to quickly and easily log into online banking from it. When you log in from a different device, a push notification will be sent to the one you have established as your “primary” trusted device. Tap confirm and you’re in. It’s that simple!
We recommend enrolling through our mobile app on your phone for a more efficient and convenient experience.

Once set up, this new verification process replaces most one-time passcodes, which can be more vulnerable to social engineering attacks. Financial institutions are seeing an increase in fraudsters trying to trick customers into sharing their one-time passcodes through phishing emails, texts and even phone calls in which the criminals pretend to be from the bank.
Our new process requires the user to have physical access to a trusted device to complete the login. This makes it harder for fraudsters to operate and, in combination with other protections like a strong, unique password and regular software and security updates, is highly effective.
