Stop Payment using Columbia On Call

Please note: Users do not have to "sign up" for access. Everyone has access thier accounts if they are direct or primary signers.

 

Touch Tone Instructions

  1. Press 1 - to access our touch tone menu.
  2. Press 1 - for account information.
  3. Press 1 - for Checking.
  4. Enter your Account number followed by “#” sign
  5. Enter your Security PIN followed by “#” sign.
  6. Telebank will provide account balance.  Should we repeat?
  7. If Yes, press 1.   If No, press 2.
  8. Press 3 - to place a stop payment.
  9. System will disclose the Stop payment Fee.
  10. Enter the Check number followed by the “#”  sign.
  11. Enter the dollars and cents followed by the “#” sign ($150.50 = 15050).
  12. Enter the date of the check followed by the “#”  sign (Month, Date, and Four Digit Year)
  13. If you don’t remember the date, enter 0, followed by the “#”  sign
  14. Telebank will repeat the details of the stop - If Yes, press 1.   If No, press 2.
  15. Telebank will repeat the fee and ask you to acknowledge - If Yes, press 1.   If No, press 2.
  16. Press 1 to acknowledge.  The stop payment will be placed, and a confirmation number will be given.



Speech Instructions

  1. At the Main Menu, please say “Account Information”
  2. What type of account will you be accessing? Please say “Checking”.
  3. Please say your account number.  You may also enter it on your touch tone phone.
  4. And your security PIN?  You may also enter it on your touch tone phone.
  5. Telebank will provide your balance.   Would you like to hear that again? 
    Please say “Yes” or “No”.
  6. To place a stop payment, please say “Stop Payment”
  7. System will disclose the Stop Payment Fee
  8. What’s the check number you are searching for? Speak or enter the check number.
  9. How much was that check written for?  Speak or enter the amount including dollars and cents.
  10. And the Date on that check?  Please speak the date
  11. If you don’t know, say “I don’t know”.
  12. The VRU will review the information.  Please say “Yes” or “No” to confirm if this is correct.
  13. The VRU will repeat the service charge and ask you to acknowledge. 
  14. Say “Yes” to acknowledge.   The stop payment will be placed and a confirmation number will be given.
