Deposit checks with your iPhone®, iPad® or mobile phone or tablet for Android™ anytime, from virtually anywhere. No need to worry about getting to the bank before it closes. With Personal Mobile Deposit, you can place a check into your Columbia Bank account when it’s convenient for you.
Deposits will appear in your account once they have been accepted. Deposits not received and accepted by 6pm PT on a business day will be processed the next business day. The receipt and acceptance process can occur within minutes or may be delayed due to connectivity or other technical issues. Deposits initiated at or shortly before 6pm PT on a business day are at risk of delay until the next business day due to insufficient receipt and acceptance lead time.
Personal Mobile Deposit is the secure way to manage your everyday check deposits. You can rest assured your deposits are protected by multiple layers of encryption within our Columbia Connect apps. Don’t leave valuable checks lying around when you can simply and securely deposit them.
If you are already enrolled in Columbia Connect, download the Columbia Bank app to make deposits from your mobile device today. If you are not enrolled in Columbia Connect, download the Columbia Bank app to enroll in Columbia Connect. Once you've completed your enrollment, you'll have access to make deposits from your mobile device immediately.
Mobile Deposit is a feature available within the Columbia Connect app. If you currently have the app downloaded to your iPhone®, iPad®, mobile phone or tablet for Android™, you automatically have access to Mobile Deposit. Once you log in to Columbia Connect, look for "Deposit A Check" on the menu list. You can make a deposit using your mobile device simply by selecting "Deposit A Check" from the menu and following the easy steps shown on your screen.
If you are already enrolled in Columbia Connect but have not downloaded Columbia Connect app, visit an app store using the links below. Personal Mobile Deposit is not available through the web-based or SMS-based mobile banking options.

If you’re not already enrolled in Columbia Connect, getting started is easy. Click here to enroll, or visit the app store and search for Columbia Bank to download the appropriate app for your mobile device. You can enroll in Columbia Connect from the app by selecting the Enroll link.
Columbia Bank does not charge a fee for the service, however a mobile carrier's web access, data or text messaging fees may apply.
All checks deposited through Personal Mobile Deposit must be in US dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank, which include: personal checks, business checks, and cashier’s checks.
Yes, there is a daily deposit limit. Mobile deposit limits fluctuate over time and may not be the same for every account. Some of the determining factors include the length of time your account has been opened, whether your account is in good standing and has transaction activity. As your relationship with us grows, your deposit limits have the opportunity to increase. Multiple deposits can be made in one business day so long as those checks do not exceed the daily limit for your account. If a deposit exceeds your daily limit, the deposit may be rejected. Please contact your branch or Client Care at 1-877-272-3678 with questions surrounding your daily deposit limit.
When a check has been successfully submitted to the bank, the deposit will appear as "pending" in the mobile deposit history within the app. Funds will be available the next business day after the deposit status changes to "accepted" in the app.
Mobile deposits will not appear in your pending transactions within Columbia Connect until the morning after the deposit has been accepted by the bank, which is typically the next business day if the mobile deposit was made prior to 6pm PT. You may immediately view all of your mobile deposit history within the Columbia Connect app by clicking on the "Deposits" menu item and selecting "View Deposit History". This screen will provide you with all of your pending, accepted and failed mobile deposit history.
If there is an issue with the check or the submission, the deposit will appear as failed on your mobile device and you will receive an email from us.
Checks deposited through Personal Mobile Deposit should be securely stored for at least 60 days from the date of deposit, and should be properly destroyed no later than 90 days from the date of deposit.
Personal Mobile Deposit offers the same level of security as Columbia Connect. For added protection, images of your checks are stored at the bank and not on your mobile device.
