Move money between banks easily

Easily move money where you need it, when you need it. With Bank2Bank you can transfer money between accounts you hold at other financial institutions to and from your Columbia Bank accounts with a few clicks.

With Bank2Bank you can move money you have at other financial institutions to your accounts here at Columbia Bank, or from your accounts at Columbia Bank to other financial institutions through Columbia Connect digital banking:

Move money in or out of your Columbia Bank account at any time with a one-time transfer, which typically takes up to three business days.

Need to move money quickly? For a fee of $2.00 you can move money by next day if done before 5:00 p.m. PT.


 

Getting Started with Bank2Bank

To move money using Bank2Bank, login to Columbia Connect digital banking and navigate to the main menu.

  1. Select Move Money from the menu, then Bank2Bank
  2. In the pop-up, click to provide consent to receive text messages, then confirm your phone number

Adding Accounts:

To start adding accounts in Bank2Bank, you will need your account type, routing number and account number.

  1. Click “Add a New Account” and fill in your account details
  2. Click “Next”
  3. Verify account

Verifying Accounts:

Verification of accounts can happen one of two ways depending on the other financial institution. Some financial institutions support an option for you to enter your online banking login information to verify your account at that institution, which typically takes a matter of seconds to verify.

If the financial institution does not support entering your online banking login information, there is also an email confirmation and test deposit option.

  • Two small amounts will be deposited into the added account.
  • In one to two business days, you will need to check the added account for the two small amounts in your transaction history. You should also receive an email with instructions on verifying the deposit amounts.
  • You will need to follow the instructions in the email for logging back into Columbia Connect and accessing the account you are trying to verify in Bank2Bank.
  • Once you reach the verification page, enter the two deposit amounts and click “Verify.”
