Andrew McKechnie, director of Healthcare Banking serving Oregon, Washington and Idaho, manages multiple teams with multiple healthcare business niches to provide counsel and strategic advice to clients related to the loan and deposit needs. Andrew’s approach to client service is simple: outwork the competition and always go the extra mile. His philosophy is to know a client’s business inside and out and provide expert counsel, which continuously adds value to the relationship.
Andrew is a 20-year banking veteran, and has steadily increased in responsibility with Columbia Bank, beginning as a team lead all the way to his current role as director for healthcare banking. A graduate of Portland State University, Andrew is active in the community including as a past leader and volunteer with Clackamas Women’s Shelter, Lake Oswego Rotary and as a current coach within the Sherwood School District.
Dani Collins, senior vice president for Healthcare Banking is an expert in helping physicians, dentists and veterinarians make successful financial choices, which in turn helps them provide outstanding care in their communities. Dani believes in building relationships, both professionally and personally, and always placing the needs of the client first. It is that philosophy, coupled with integrity and sincerity, which enables her to add value to every client interaction.
A 22-year banking veteran, Dani’s experience and knowledge continually helps clients reach their financial goals by nurturing a trusted advisor relationship between banker and healthcare professional. Dani is a proud University of Washington Alumni and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. She is also passionate about making a difference in her community and has been an active volunteer for various health care non-profits including the American Cancer Society, Good Times Project and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research.
Katia is senior vice president and relationship manager for Columbia Bank’s Healthcare Banking team in Bellevue, WA. She brings 28 years of experience working with a portfolio of high net worth clients. The past 18 years she has focused on professionals, providing financial solutions for the complex business needs of doctors and dentists.
She is passionate about building trusting relationships with her clients, understanding their banking needs, and helping them achieve their financial goals and dreams.
Katia is a lifelong resident of Washington, a University of Washington graduate, and an Eastside resident for the past 28 years, currently residing in Bellevue with her family.
Esther Lee, vice president and healthcare banking relationship manager for Columbia Bank, has over 13 years of banking experience in Wealth Management. Her focus is to build longstanding relationships with clients and guide them toward fulfilling their financial and professional goals.
Esther grew up in the area and is a proud graduate of the University of Washington. She is active in her community and volunteers her time to local and environmental organizations such as EarthCorps, Urban Farm and Ronald McDonald House.
Abby Marcy, vice president, healthcare banking relationship manager for Columbia Bank, specializes in providing outstanding service to clients in the healthcare field, which includes practice financing, practice acquisitions, equipment purchasing, and commercial real estate. She is an advocate and advisor for her clients and focuses on developing the kind of relationship that helps build growth and success.
A veteran banker with more than 12 years’ experience, Abby has focused her career on both commercial real estate banking and private banking. She joined the team at Columbia in 2012.
Abby is from Grand Coulee in Eastern Washington and grew up in a family of veterinarians and healthcare practitioners. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In additional to her banking career, Abby has been active in the community as a leader/volunteer for the YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, Spokane Youth Sports Association, Young Lives, and Second Harvest’s Bite 2 Go Program.
Lynne Nelson is a senior vice president and business development officer on Columbia Bank’s Healthcare Banking team. Nelson has nearly a decade of experience in healthcare banking and lending with Columbia Bank.
Nelson is responsible for building positive brand recognition through partnerships and education within medical, dental, and veterinary communities, schools, associations, study groups, and societies.
Earlier in her career, Nelson co-founded Practice Management Associates, a full-service dental consulting and brokerage firm, and helped guide general and specialty dentists through seamless transitions of selling or purchasing a practice. Nelson is an expert in the business of healthcare with a focus on overhead analysis, strategies, and models, intercommunications, team building, and marketing.
Nelson is also active in her community. Among many endeavors, she has worked with Chelan Athletic Booster Club, Seven Acres Foundation, Lake Chelan Community Hospital, and Lake Chelan Food Bank.
As vice president, Cheryl Dorman works alongside Columbia Bank’s Private Banking and Healthcare Banking teams to provide tailored solutions to clients throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
With more than 30 years of banking experience, including an exceptional background in customer service, relationship management and bank and branch operations, Cheryl works closely with high-net-worth individuals to incorporate investments, borrowings and assets into personalized banking solutions. She is an expert at strategically calling on a strong network of referral sources within the community and finding ways to partner with her customers to determine the best course of action for each individual’s business situation. Based in Portland, Cheryl previously served as a vice president, branch manager, for Columbia Bank’s Tualatin and Wilsonville branches, opening the Tualatin branch in 2004 and managing it for 10 years. She is a graduate of Portland State University with a degree in business and human resource management.
In her spare time, Cheryl is committed to serving her local community in the Portland area, currently serving as a board member of Portland State University’s business outreach program, board member and past president of the Tualatin Rotary Club and the Wilsonville Development Review Board. She also volunteers for Reach the Beach, Hood to Coast and Kiwanis Camp. Previously she served as the past president of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce.
Scott Beard, senior vice president, director of national healthcare, has over 27 years of industry experience and is responsible for overseeing all healthcare banking activities for Columbia Bank. He is committed to developing long-lasting relationships with clients by providing a comprehensive and tailored approach to their financial needs. Scott is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and Oregon State University where he majored in business with a focus in accounting and minored in psychology. He previously served on the Portland Metro Brownfields Advisory Board, Resolutions Northwest Advisory Board and Junior Achievement. He remains actively involved in his community as a member of Catholic Youth Organization, Camp Howard.
In his role as senior vice president, business development officer, John Campbell is responsible for building client relationships in the health care industry and providing service to current referral sources and existing clients. John strives to always go above and beyond what his clients expect and takes every step necessary to help them achieve their goals.
Amanda Mombert, healthcare banking relationship manager, specializes in providing end-to-end counsel and support to healthcare clients, especially dentists. She does this by building and maintaining relationships with her clients and always searching for the strategy that works best for them.
Amanda specializes in financing for dental practices – providing financing for practice acquisitions, buy-ins, expansions, debt refinance, equipment, and commercial real estate. She is known for providing consultative assistance to clients and guiding them through the entire loan process. She is deeply connected in the dental community and is well known for providing clients with all the resources and experts they need to make sound financial decisions.
Amanda is a veteran banker of more than 13 years’ experience and is a graduate of the University of Oregon and the Western School of Commercial Lending. She has been an active volunteer with Junior Achievement and the national program “Teach Kids to Save Day".
Ben Mombert, vice president, healthcare banking officer, is an expert in helping healthcare professionals achieve their financial goals through a number of different financing and banking solutions.
Ben has a keen understanding of the correct financing products and services that best suites the borrower’s needs, and is a connector for clients to find other dedicated professionals that specialize in the health care industry including; CPA’s, attorney’s, appraisers, consultants, insurance brokers and more.
Ben, a veteran healthcare banker of more than 12 years, is recognized in the industry as an expert in financing and banking for dentists (including associated specialties pediatric, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, other), as well as financing/banking for veterinarians, and financing/banking for optometrists.
He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and has provided fundraising support for Mission of Mercy and the Dental Foundation of Oregon.
As vice president, business development officer for Columbia Bank, Derek Rawnsley is responsible for developing finance opportunities for the healthcare industry, directing origination efforts and the structuring of transactions.
