Barbara Cooch, director of the Washington and Northern Idaho Healthcare Banking office, offers her clients more than 40 years of banking experience. She has previously managed in human resources, retail banking, business banking and premier banking. Her tenure in the industry combined with her breadth of experience translates to a value-added relationship with her clients. During the last 30 years, Barbara has focused on building healthcare banking for physicians, dentists and veterinarians.
The foundation of Barbara’s philosophy is to always do what is best for the client. She enjoys each life step with her clients, providing support, encouragement, coaching and a high level of service. Integrity, sincerity and value bring many lasting banking relationships and friendships. Just as Barbara
works to be an integral part of her client’s team of professional advisors, she also coordinates with her Columbia Bank team of financial experts to achieve her clients’ wealth management solutions and financial successes.
Barbara holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a fifth-year secondary teaching certificate from the University of Colorado. She actively supports the YWCA, United Way and various other local charities. An Eastside resident for the past 34 years, she lives in Bellevue with her husband, Jim. She also has
two grown sons, Devin and Rob.
Dani Collins, senior vice president for Healthcare Banking is an expert in helping physicians, dentists and veterinarians make successful financial choices, which in turn helps them provide outstanding care in their communities. Dani believes in building relationships, both professionally and personally, and always placing the needs of the client first. It is that philosophy, coupled with integrity and sincerity, which enables her to add value to every client interaction.
A 22-year banking veteran, Dani’s experience and knowledge continually helps clients reach their financial goals by nurturing a trusted advisor relationship between banker and healthcare professional. Dani is a proud University of Washington Alumni and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics. She is also passionate about making a difference in her community and has been an active volunteer for various health care non-profits including the American Cancer Society, Good Times Project and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research.
Chris is a senior vice president and team leader with Columbia Bank Healthcare Banking. He has over 25 years of banking experience, including Private Banking and Retail Banking.
Chris understands the complexities of managing both personal and business finances for professionals who are invested in their own practice. As a trusted financial advisor, he works closely with his clients to build a customized wealth management solution to best meet their financial goals. Whether it is wealth

Chris is a resident of West Seattle with his wife, daughter, and dog. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing volleyball, exercising, and volunteering in the local community.
Esther Lee, vice president and healthcare banking relationship manager for Columbia Bank, has over 13 years of banking experience in Wealth Management. Her focus is to build longstanding relationships with clients and guide them toward fulfilling their financial and professional goals.
Esther grew up in the area and is a proud graduate of the University of Washington. She is active in her community and volunteers her time to local and environmental organizations such as EarthCorps, Urban Farm and Ronald McDonald House.
Abby Marcy, vice president, healthcare banking relationship manager for Columbia Bank, specializes in providing outstanding service to clients in the healthcare field, which includes practice financing, practice acquisitions, equipment purchasing, and commercial real estate. She is an advocate and advisor for her clients and focuses on developing the kind of relationship that helps build growth and success.
A veteran banker with more than 12 years’ experience, Abby has focused her career on both commercial real estate banking and private banking. She joined the team at Columbia in 2012.
Abby is from Grand Coulee in Eastern Washington and grew up in a family of veterinarians and healthcare practitioners. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In additional to her banking career, Abby has been active in the community as a leader/volunteer for the YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, Spokane Youth Sports Association, Young Lives, and Second Harvest’s Bite 2 Go Program.
Katia is senior vice president and relationship manager for Columbia Bank’s Healthcare Banking team in Bellevue, WA. She brings 28 years of experience working with a portfolio of high net worth clients. The past 18 years she has focused on professionals, providing financial solutions for the complex business needs of doctors and dentists.
She is passionate about building trusting relationships with her clients, understanding their banking needs, and helping them achieve their financial goals and dreams.
Katia is a lifelong resident of Washington, a University of Washington graduate, and an Eastside resident for the past 28 years, currently residing in Bellevue with her family.
Andrew McKechnie, director of Healthcare Banking serving Oregon, southwest Washington and southern Idaho, manages multiple teams with multiple healthcare business niches to provide counsel and strategic advice to clients related to the loan and deposit needs. Andrew’s approach to client service is simple: outwork the competition and always go the extra mile. His philosophy is to know a client’s business inside and out and provide expert counsel, which continuously adds value to the relationship.
Andrew is a 20-year banking veteran, and has steadily increased in responsibility with Columbia Bank, beginning as a team lead all the way to his current role as director for healthcare banking. A graduate of Portland State University, Andrew is active in the community including as a past leader and volunteer with Clackamas Women’s Shelter, Lake Oswego Rotary and as a current coach within the Sherwood School District.
Jennifer is a Vice President with Healthcare Banking within the Wealth Management Group of Columbia Bank. She has over 14 years of banking experience, including Private Banking and Commercial Banking. Her focus is providing financial solutions for the complex business needs of professionals, including physicians and dentists.
Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Portland State University. She is active in many Salem non-profit organizations, volunteering to assist children in the community.
Chris Kane, healthcare banking team leader, oversees day-to-day business development activities of the local healthcare team including prospecting, client and portfolio management, credit administration and supervision of key personnel across Oregon, Southwest Washington and Idaho. He is dedicated to being honest and forthright with every client or prospect and works tirelessly to gain their trust. By collaborating with a highly experienced team of professionals, Chris and his team identify and deliver customized solutions to client needs in a timely manner. With more than 15 years of banking experience, Chris has always put the client’s needs first to build and retain long standing client relationships. Previous experience includes serving as a team leader for more than five years and as a commercial banking officer for more than seven years with Pacific Continental Bank. In 2016, Chris graduated from the Executive Development Program (OBA) at Willamette University, MBA Portland Center. Chris graduated from the Western School of Commercial Lending at the University of Nevada-Reno in 2004 and received his undergraduate degree – a Bachelor of Science in finance – from Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., in 2000. An active member in his community, Chris is involved with the Ways to Work program for Metropolitan Family Services, Community Energy Project and Trillium Family Services. He is also a coach for the West Linn Baseball Association and serves as a board member for the Risk Management Association as well as the Oregon Golf Club Advisory Board. Chris is a husband and father of two children and enjoys golfing in his free time. Previous community involvement includes Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Boy Scouts of America.
Sarah Stubee VP, Relationship Manager serving Oregon and southwest Washington, works with clients to help buy, start, refinance and grow their businesses. As part of the Healthcare Banking team, Sarah seeks to be an expert in the dental and healthcare space and is dedicated to listening and offering solutions that will best serve her clients.
Sarah has more than 13 years of industry experience including more than four years with Columbia Bank, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Biola University in 2003 where she studied communications. Sarah is committed to serving her local community and has volunteered her time with Providence Child Center and Financial Beginnings.
As a Healthcare Banking Relationship Manager for Columbia Bank, Amber Clark is responsible for servicing the medical and professional industries by providing sound guidance on financing transitions, expansions, start-up ventures, commercial real estate and SBA financing. Amber values the long-term relationships formed from guidance rather than transactions alone, and places a strong emphasis on advocating for her clients and exceeding their expectations. Amber prioritizes serving organizations that support the medical and professional industries through volunteering and sponsorships. She also connects prospective clients or current clients with other experts in the industry to help ease the steps intothe next phase of their career.
With more than 12 years of industry experience, Amber began her career at U.S. Bank as a part-time teller in 2005 to help pay for college expenses and tuition before transitioning to Pacific Continental Bank in 2013. Amber attended Portland State University where she studied business management and marketing. Amber volunteers with the Oregon Food Bank, Home Plate Youth, Meals on Wheels, United Way and Oregon Health and Science University. Amber is also actively involved with the Dental Foundation of Oregon, Clackamas County Dental Society, Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, Multnomah County Dental Society, Marion/Polk Dental Society and both the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce and Tualatin Chamber of Commerce. Previous community involvement includes the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
As vice president, Cheryl Dorman works alongside Columbia Bank’s Private Banking and Wealth Management teams to provide tailored solutions to clients throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington.
With more than 30 years of banking experience, including an exceptional background in customer service, relationship management and bank and branch operations, Cheryl works closely with high-net-worth individuals to incorporate investments, borrowings and assets into personalized banking solutions. She is an expert at strategically calling on a strong network of referral sources within the community and finding ways to partner with her customers to determine the best course of action for each individual’s business situation. Based in Portland, Cheryl previously served as a vice president, branch manager, for Columbia Bank’s Tualatin and Wilsonville branches, opening the Tualatin branch in 2004 and managing it for 10 years. She is a graduate of Portland State University with a degree in business and human resource management.
In her spare time, Cheryl is committed to serving her local community in the Portland area, currently serving as a board member of Portland State University’s business outreach program, board member and past president of the Tualatin Rotary Club and the Wilsonville Development Review Board. She also volunteers for Reach the Beach, Hood to Coast and Kiwanis Camp. Previously she served as the past president of the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce.
