Every year we are proud to partner with the American Heart Association for their annual Heart Walks throughout the Northwest. We are passionate about supporting organizations like the American Heart Association because of the impact they make on improving heart health in our community. The funds raised in the campaign will directly benefit the American Heart Association as it continues its mission to improve the lives of all Americans through public health education, development of science-based treatment guidelines and advocacy with policymakers for changes to improve heart health in the United States.
By supporting AHA, we aren't just helping promote, improve or protect heart health in our communities, we are giving back to AHA to help extend the lives of loved ones, family members, friends and co-workers who have been impacted by heart disease. We work hard to give back to AHA because of the important work it does to extend the lives of loved ones, family members, friends and co-workers who have been impacted by heart disease. Sadly, more than one in four Americans die of heart disease and heart-related health complications every year; a number we hope to decrease through fundraising, education about AHA and involvement in the annual Heart Walks held throughout the Northwest.
Together, we raised a total of $30,742.01 last year! We raised these vital funds by coming together as a team. We hosted health-conscious farmers markets, played mini golf tournaments, served lunches and cheered each other on every step of the way. Our clients were invited to join us in the fight against heart disease with Puget Sound-area branches posting paper hearts for each individual who donated towards the AHA fundraising campaign.
This year as we gear up for an even more successful campaign, we are encouraging people to join us in taking a pledge to live Healthy For Good. Join us in making a pledge to:
The success of this campaign would not have been possible without the commitment from those in the Columbia Bank community, and we are grateful for the continued support we receive from each of you who believe in the power of working together to make a difference. We look forward to joining together in support of AHA again this year in 2018!
