Last Saturday, the Columbia Cancer Crushers Relay for Life Team joined in the fight against cancer at Relay for Life Sky Valley at Monroe High School! Relay For Life supports the groundbreaking work that the American Cancer Society does on behalf of those who are battling cancer, those who are supporting a family member with cancer, and those who will avoid a cancer diagnosis altogether because of ACS education, research, and advocacy initiatives.

We caught up with the Cancer Crushers’ Team Captain Kim Harrison of our Snohomish, WA branch to learn a bit more about why her team Relays:

How long has your branch had a Relay for Life team?

The Snohomish branch has had a Relay for Life team since 2007 – 9 years!

Why does your branch Relay?

To help find a cure for cancer and try to help stop the suffering. Cancer impacts everyone we know in some way or another and this is a way we can make a difference.

Do you have a fun and unique fundraiser that you host?

Yes! Each year we sell handmade hats and scarves. We also have a bake sale at the branch and do a car wash to raise money for Relay for Life.

Thanks, Kim and team for all that you do for Relay for Life! Click here to support the Cancer Crushers’ efforts on behalf of the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life.
