My service in the U.S. Marine Corps has been the most valuable life experience that I have had. I love this country and what it was founded on. I am grateful for all the sacrifices that have been made to uphold those founding principles of the USA.

I am very proud of my Husband for his service to this great country of ours. Due to his service I was more aware as to how much the military men and women and their families give up to defend our land. We need even more people like them.

I have learned what the word "Sacrifice" truly means. Not only did he endure deployment on the front lines, but he has fought for his life and the lives of others suffering from PTSD. He currently serves as a VA Chaplain at the Portland VA Medical Center.

US Army

My Grandpa served quite an extended period of time, I am very proud of the man he is. I enjoy hearing his stories and I am grateful his values were passed onto myself and my other family members.

US Marines

To this day my husband is proud to be called a Marine. There is a lot of truth to the saying "Once a Marine, Always a Marine".

US Air Force

Arthur Lee Reese, Sr.

Family Member, United States Air Force, 30 years

My father was a life career military man - his values and love for our country were a throwback from yesteryears. He survived the Wars of the 60's and 70's when it wasn't popular to fight for our country - but I am so proud that he did.

It was an honor. Made lifelong friends who I am still in contact with today. I have four buddies that are working professionals in the Seattle/Portland Area. We get together at least once a year to keep the bond strong. The Army is part of who I am.

Chas Wilson

Chas Wilson

Columbia Bank Employee, United States Army, 24 years 7 months 15 days

Even though I and my family made deep sacrifices and my body is riddled with problems, aches, and pains, I would put on a uniform and get back to the dirt and the dark in a heartbeat. Why? Because I deeply love this country and am proud to have served it.

US Marines

Eric Worth

Family Member, United States Marine Corps, 10 years

I am so proud of my brother and his service to this country. He joined the Marines when he was only a 17 yr. old boy and left a man.
