Stop Payment using Columbia On Call
Please note: Users do not have to "sign up" for access. Everyone has access thier accounts if they are direct or primary signers.
Touch Tone Instructions
- Press 1 - to access our touch tone menu.
- Press 1 - for account information.
- Press 1 - for Checking.
- Enter your Account number followed by “#” sign
- Enter your Security PIN followed by “#” sign.
- Telebank will provide account balance. Should we repeat?
- If Yes, press 1. If No, press 2.
- Press 3 - to place a stop payment.
- System will disclose the Stop payment Fee.
- Enter the Check number followed by the “#” sign.
- Enter the dollars and cents followed by the “#” sign ($150.50 = 15050).
- Enter the date of the check followed by the “#” sign (Month, Date, and Four Digit Year)
- If you don’t remember the date, enter 0, followed by the “#” sign
- Telebank will repeat the details of the stop - If Yes, press 1. If No, press 2.
- Telebank will repeat the fee and ask you to acknowledge - If Yes, press 1. If No, press 2.
- Press 1 to acknowledge. The stop payment will be placed, and a confirmation number will be given.

- At the Main Menu, please say “Account Information”
- What type of account will you be accessing? Please say “Checking”.
- Please say your account number. You may also enter it on your touch tone phone.
- And your security PIN? You may also enter it on your touch tone phone.
- Telebank will provide your balance. Would you like to hear that again?
Please say “Yes” or “No”.
- To place a stop payment, please say “Stop Payment”
- System will disclose the Stop Payment Fee
- What’s the check number you are searching for? Speak or enter the check number.
- How much was that check written for? Speak or enter the amount including dollars and cents.
- And the Date on that check? Please speak the date
- If you don’t know, say “I don’t know”.
- The VRU will review the information. Please say “Yes” or “No” to confirm if this is correct.
- The VRU will repeat the service charge and ask you to acknowledge.
- Say “Yes” to acknowledge. The stop payment will be placed and a confirmation number will be given.
